Whitstable Medical Practice Installs Carestream Vue for Cloud-Based Services

HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, March 3 — Whitstable Medical Practice in northwest Kent has installed Carestream Vue Cloud PACS with native reporting, an innovative approach to managing imaging information on a predictable, pay-as-you-go basis. The practice operates from three sites based at Chestfield, Estuary and Whitstable, providing a full range of medical and nursing to a local population of around 35,200 people.

Carestream Vue Cloud PACS provides radiologists and clinicians with a complete diagnostic imaging workflow delivered by a cloud-based infrastructure on a pay-as-you go model. The service provides complete, unlimited access to Vue PACS capabilities, tools, workflow and interactive reporting, improving data exchange and collaboration across the practice.

“Since Carestream PACS was implemented into our organisation we have been extremely pleased. It has proven to be a valuable tool for quick and easy access to patients' images and reports; it is very user friendly and our staff has been able to get to grips with the system in a very short time frame,” said Mandy Jackson, Lead Radiographer at the Estuary View Medical Centre. “The biggest advantage for new users is that they can customise not only the Archive Explorer but also the imaging function tools such as imaging tools, graphics, layout etc., to the user's individual needs.  In addition, our Radiologists report directly into PACS and consider the Speech Magic voice recognition feature enhances the reporting workflow and therefore increases productivity.”
