GENEVA, June 13 — Carestream Health will be exhibiting at the 26th Annual Scientific Meeting of the European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology (ESSR), to be held in Lisbon from 26-29 June. The exhibition element of the congress will take place from 27-29 June. ESSR 2019 will focus on a theme of ‘Hip and Advanced MSK Imaging', giving attendees the chance to update their knowledge of the subject area and learn more about the latest advances in musculoskeletal radiology.
Carestream’s experts will be on hand to discuss the systems it provides to support medical professionals and their patients, including the CARESTREAM OnSight 3D Extremity System. This is a compact extremity CT system that offers high-quality, lower-dose 3D imaging technology for capturing weight-bearing and other types of patient extremity images that would not be possible with traditional CT. This produces fully dimensional images that can be rotated and examined from every angle. Since they are captured under natural load, these images can be used to understand how an injury is affecting a joint while it is in use. This can help in treating a host of orthopaedic conditions that affect the bio-mechanical behaviour of joints, including arthritis, joint instability, soft tissue and misalignment syndromes.
‘Carestream is a regular exhibitor at the annual ESSR congress and we are pleased to be taking part again in the Society’s 26th such event. Every year we enjoy reinforcing relationships with existing clients and making new contacts and we are particularly excited to be able to demonstrate the benefits of our OnSight 3D Extremity System at this year’s show,’ says Antonio Augello, Sales Manager for EMEA, CT Solutions, at Carestream.
